Colorado State was a tough opponent in 2017, but only finished the season 7-6 and that was even with senior quarterback Nick Stevens putting together a career season. He’s moving on now and the Rams don’t have a clear-cut starter to replace him.

That’s going to work in Arkansas’ favor as even an average Razorbacks defense, albeit improving, will have no problem slowing down an offense that will be without Stevens, Dalyn Dawkins and Michael Gallup. The top three offensive weapons from the 2017 campaign are now gone, handing the reins to unproven talent.

The lack of a starting quarterback heading into the offseason is concerning for the Rams and Arkansas is going to feast on them with a strong defensive effort.

Moreover, Arkansas will have an increasingly impressive offensive attack and Cole Kelley will put together his second straight 250-plus yard game with two touchdowns and his first interception of the year. Chase Hayden and Devwah Whaley will combine for 150 yards as well.

Final Score: Arkansas 31, Colorado State 21 (2-0)
