Did Alabama break Vanderbilt in 2017? After the Commodores started 3-0 with a win over No. 18 Kansas State, they were muttering “we want ‘Bama” and everyone knows how that usually goes.

The Crimson Tide took it to the Commodores 59-0 and they went from sure bowl invitees to 5-7 and sitting at home watching postseason play from their couches. Luckily for Vanderbilt, it doesn’t have to face Alabama in 2018 which means they could find themselves in a good position to make a bowl.

Vanderbilt could be either 5-3 or 4-4 heading into this game with a need for a win in order to keep those postseason hopes alive. However, Arkansas also needs a win as it will be 0-4 in conference play at this point and looking to avoid a total meltdown to fall to 0-5 in the SEC in Chad Morris’ first season.

It’ll be a back-and-forth affair and Kyle Shurmur and Cole Kelley are going to have a solid quarterback duel, but it will ultimately end with a touchdown pass to Deon Stewart in the final minute to win and record Arkansas’ first SEC triumph of the year.

Final Score: Vanderbilt 24, Arkansas 30 (5-4, 1-4 SEC)
