The good old Rutgers game will provide Michigan with some much-needed momentum after recording a big win over Penn State. That’s not to say the Wolverines won’t have any momentum after that win, but getting two in a row heading into the final stretch of the season will be important.

The Scarlet Knights are good for allowing opponents to gain some added confidence and that’s exactly what they’ll do in this one. Sure, Chris Ash is doing all he can to get the Scarlet Knights out of the Big Ten’s cellar, but they still won’t be all that competitive against the top teams in the conference and this game will be a prime example of that.

In fact, this game will be decided by halftime. The Wolverines will get strong performances out of Donovan Peoples-Jones and Tarik Black which can only mean that Shea Patterson, too, is going to have a strong game. On top of that, Peoples-Jones will record his second punt return touchdown of the year.

Defensively, Michigan is going to shut down Giovanni Rescigno and essentially anything the Scarlet Knights throw at the Wolverines. Don’t be shocked to see another blowout from the Wolverines in Piscataway.

Final Score: Michigan 45, Rutgers 10 (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten)
