The first Big Ten game of the season won’t be an easy one, but the Nebraska Cornhuskers are going to be in that adjustment period still under first-year head coach Scott Frost. Also, they will be without starting quarterback Tanner Lee who decided to forgo his senior season and enter his name into the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Cornhuskers have a bright future with Frost at head coach, but there’s a lot that needs to be done before they can truly contend for titles.

In fact, the Cornhuskers’ 98th-ranked defense from 2017 won’t be completely fixed yet and the offense has some major question marks. Patrick O’Brien looks like the early favorite to start under center, but he only attempted 30 passes as a freshman in 2017. He will have a rough game against the Wolverines’ aggressive defense and will throw two interceptions with less than 150 yards.

The run game will also struggle against the Wolverines in this one while Michigan’s backfield continues its torrid pace behind a more experienced offensive line.

Final Score: Nebraska 17, Michigan 34 (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten)
