DJ Durkin returns to Ann Arbor again to face the Wolverines in his third season as head coach of the Terrapins. He’s recruiting well at Maryland, but the wins and losses haven’t really gone his way just yet after leaving Michigan’s defensive coordinator position.

Assuming his quarterbacks stay healthy in 2018, the Terrapins have a much better chance of getting back to a bowl game for the second time in three years. The starting quarterback will presumably be sophomore Kasim Hill whose freshman campaign was cut short after a leg injury.

Michigan will feast on whoever is back there, though. No quarterback will be safe in the Big Ten as the Wolverines’ defensive line, coupled with aggressive linebackers and Don Brown at defensive coordinator, will get after opponents with blitzes on a regular basis. Maryland will be no different.

The Terrapins will struggle offensively and the Wolverines’ defense will finish with two touchdowns on a pick-six and fumble return. On top of that, the offense will continue to gain momentum.

Final Score: Maryland 10, Michigan 38 (5-1, 3-0 Big Ten)
