Michigan Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2018
Michigan has had this game circled on its calendar ever since the loss to Michigan State on Oct. 7. This rivalry game is extremely personal and the Wolverines aren’t going to hold anything back. Unfortunately, they’ll have to travel down the road to East Lansing for this one and there’s a good chance both teams could be ranked in the top-10 at this point in the year.

If that’s the case, there’s a chance the kickoff could be set for either 3:30 p.m. ET or a primetime game which would make it that much more difficult for the Wolverines to win.
Jim Harbaugh is 1-5 against his top two rivals in his first three years, but will he add a win to that total in East Lansing next season? Sadly for Michigan fans who have waited a year for this matchup, the answer will be no. While this game will be one of those instant classics that will be talked about for years, home-field advantage will play too much of a role.
This game will be a toss-up, but with Brian Lewerke hitting his stride as a quarterback, LJ Scott improving in the backfield and the Spartans’ defense back to where it was a few years ago, the Spartans will win a tight one.
Final Score: Michigan 20, Michigan State 24 (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten)
