4. Tyreke Johnson, 5-star DB

Ohio State is losing both cornerback Denzel Ward and safety Damon Webb to the NFL draft. While there is a lot of depth in the Buckeye secondary, Tyreke Johnson is the type of player with potential to make a first year impact.

Johnson is a five-star commit out of Jacksonville, Florida. He is listed as the 20th ranked overall player in the nation per 247 Sports. They also list him as an athlete, having the ability to play multiple positions. His natural position is at cornerback, but to see the field in 2018, Johnson may play at safety.

The 6-foot-1 Johnson is very athletic and very good in coverage. He has the vision for the ball like a wide receiver, so creating turnovers is his specialty. Against some of the better Big Ten offenses, his athleticism will prove invaluable. Johnson is also enrolling early, which should help in learning the system and gaining early playing time.

Expect Johnson to gain playing time in 2018 at safety, however he definitely has the ability to play cornerback. He might even see time on special teams this season.
