Rutgers has been the Big Ten’s punching bag ever since it joined back in 2014 and that’s not going to stop in 2018 — at least not with the conference’s big boys. Ohio State and Rutgers will meet up early in the season for a rare Week 2 Big Ten matchup and it will be extremely one-sided.

Chris Ash has been doing his best to assemble a competitive team in Piscataway, but the Scarlet Knights just don’t have the draw that the rest of the conference’s teams do.

Urban Meyer and Co. will host the Scarlet Knights and send them home packing a few hours later with a blowout loss. Dwayne Haskins will have a nearly flawless start to his career after an impressive opener against Oregon State and he will top 300 yards yet again.

That backfield duo of Mike Weber and JK Dobbins is going to haunt opponents all season long and that will be the case in this one as they combine for over 200 yards again. The defense will smother Giovanni Rescigno or whoever starts under center for the Scarlet Knights as they finish with 150 total yards.

Final Score: Rutgers 3, Ohio State 45 (2-0, 1-0 Big Ten)
