Changes have been made in Lincoln and they’re for the better. Mike Riley was one of the good guys of the Big Ten, but just didn’t fit well as Nebraska’s head coach. He wasn’t that hard-nosed guy who knew the program inside and out, so the athletic department decided to move on and hire former Nebraska quarterback turned UCF head coach, Scott Frost.

Frost was the name every Nebraska fan wanted to see as a hire in the offseason and he brings the program hope. He led UCF to a 14-0 season in 2017 and the Knights were self-proclaimed national champions.

However, he won’t have that type of success in year one at Nebraska. In fact, his first season might be rough as he will be looking to replace Tanner Lee at quarterback, presumably settling on Patrick O’Brien. His sophomore quarterback is a far cry from McKenzie Milton at UCF, but he will have a decent first year as full-time starter, but will struggle against the Buckeyes.

Moreover, Nebraska doesn’t have the type of run game to bail him out and he’ll be forced to pass 30-40 times in a losing effort.

Final Score: Nebraska 20, Ohio State 41 (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten)
