Missouri’s outlook on the 2018 season got a little brighter when senior quarterback Drew Lock announced his return. Is he the best in the SEC?

Missouri is not the best team in the SEC, not by a long shot. However, they could very well be home to the best quarterback the conference has to offer.

Let’s take a look at what makes him such an elite, successful quarterback and how he shapes up against the rest of the conference.

5. Lock has quite a bit of SEC experience

Lock is a senior. In a conference full of young quarterbacks, that is a huge plus. His team leaves quite a bit to be desired, but he proved that they are a force to be reckoned with after they won six straight to become bowl eligible after starting 1-5.

With him staying for his senior year, the sky is truly the limit for his potential. Look for him to make some serious noise as a senior captain for the Tigers. His team has nothing but good things to say about him and his work ethic.

Drew Lock bleeds yellow and black. That much is obvious by the blood, sweat and tears that he puts into this team and their success. His experience will be a huge plus for the Tigers in 2018. The schedule is significantly tougher, but with Lock at the helm this team has a chance.
