3. Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M

This isn’t my Aggie bias, I swear it’s not. Who knows what he will be able to do with the talent he has at Texas A&M and who he will be able to recruit in the coming years. However, by resume alone, Fisher cracks the top three in terms of SEC Head Coach power rankings.

He is 83-23 as a head coach and 5-2 in bowl games. Last year not withstanding, when they lost their starting quarterback to injury and didn’t have the means to replace him, he averages about 10 wins a season. Let me tell you, any Aggie fan would love to average 10 wins a season in the SEC West. He also boasts a recent national championship with a 2013 win over the Auburn Tigers.

His coaching abilities put him in the top three. Whether his team gets up there in 2018 is a completely different story that will be quite interesting to follow in the coming season. This team is extremely young and talented. This means that Jimbo and company will be able to shape them as they see fit. One thing is for sure, he will have a different offensive scheme than what was run under Noel Mazzone and Kevin Sumlin.

Change has fans excited in Aggieland and they should be.
