4. Ayodele Adeoye, 4-star LB

Linebacker Malik Jefferson’s decision to declare early for the NFL Draft has left a spot at the middle linebacker position. Florida prospect Ayodele Adeoye has the ability to step in right away and fill in the need.

Adeoye is the only inside linebacker the Longhorns are signing with this class. The 6-foot, 231-pound linebacker from the IMG Academy in Florida is ranked the sixth-best inside linebacker in the nation. He originally is from Missouri but transferred to the IMG Academy to play his senior year of high school, where he recorded 20 tackles. He was also invited to play in the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando earlier in January.

Adeoye is very physical and plays with a wild, mean streak. He also has a nose for the football and can make a play from just about anywhere on the field. Enrolling early to get in spring reps will certainly help his case to earn playing time right away.

Depending on what happens in fall camp, Adeoye might not earn the starting job but he is certain to see the field a lot as freshman this fall.
