We all respect UCF for having a great season, but they took it way too far. Apparently, Alabama football players think so, too.
Look, I really wanted Georgia to win the national title. I am not an Alabama fan, by any means, but I have to give ‘Bama running back Damien Harris credit — the guy has a sense of humor.
Harris recently took to Twitter to call UCF to task for continuing their delusions of being national champions. We all understand UCF’s frustration at being left out of the College Football Playoff conversation. At the end of the day, though, strength of schedule is a massive factor, and the CFP committee rightfully felt that UCF’s schedule just didn’t pass muster.
It didn’t seem to be that big a deal, but UCF kept pushing the envelope, claiming that the Knights were the true national champions. Last Wednesday, they had a celebration of that claim and even had t-shirts and banners made proclaiming that title. Here is the initial tweet from the folks at UCF.

Alabama players and coaches have remained quiet about the matter, but I guess Harris finally got tired of hearing all the hootenanny from the UCF camp.
These pictures are live! Where can i find one with y’all holding the trophy? https://t.co/eo4O6daenL

Harris is a manchild on and off the field, because he can produce massive plays and take down opponents on Twitter. UCF is going to need some Neosporin for that burn.
