With 2018 National Signing Day approaching, who are the top four remaining recruiting targets for Michigan football and Jim Harbaugh?
It’s going to be a fairly quiet National Signing Day for Michigan as the Wolverines already have 21 commits — three of which have enrolled early and 13 more signed in the early period back in December.
Jim Harbaugh isn’t in on many other top-tier recruits in this cycle, which is different as he and the coaching staff were reeling in top recruits over the past few seasons on National Signing Day.
Although there may not be many surprises, the Wolverines still have a handful of targets they’ll hope to get the nod from on Feb. 7.
Who are the Wolverines’ top four 2018 National Signing Day targets?
Although Abraham Alce took an official visit to Michigan a couple weeks before National Signing Day, I don’t think he’s anything but a backup plan at this point. The three-star running back from Immokalee, Fla., hasn’t been offered by the Wolverines yet and he looks to be headed to South Florida although Miami, Kent State, Wisconsin and Akron are all possibilities as well.
While I don’t see Michigan landing him, especially without an offer to this point, it seems like he will be a decent option for whichever school he chooses — especially if it’s a Group of Five program.
The Wolverines already have three-stars Christian Turner and Hassan Haskins signed in the 2018 class at the running back position. There’s no need for another, unless he’s being recruited for a different position.
I’d say you can probably cross Alce off the list of potential commits.
