Yet another offensive tackle who is high on the Buckeyes, Rasheed Walker could be down to two Big Ten schools. Right now, the Waldorf, Md., offensive tackle looks to be eyeing either Ohio State or Penn State, but Virginia Tech happens to be an option as well.

Urban Meyer visited Walker on Jan. 31, but Penn State’s James Franklin stopped in the next day to pay him an in-home visit. The back-and-forth battle is one to watch as this recruitment is coming down to the wire.

Ohio State is looking to land another offensive tackle while Penn State could use some depth up front as well. Both have the ability to send players to the NFL, so that’s essentially a tie in that regard as well as the idea of winning a Big Ten title — although Ohio State might have a slight edge there.

Standing 6-foot-6 and weighing in at 300 pounds, Walker is bigger than Petit-Frere and also a more likely option. With Penn State getting that last in-home visit, though, that could put the Nittany Lions in the lead.

Walker is ranked the No. 47 player in the class and the third-best offensive tackle, according to 247Sports. He’d be a nice consolation prize if the Buckeyes are not able to land Petit-Frere.
