National Signing Day 2018 is fast approaching, and that leaves Texas A&M football with little time to add to their next recruiting class.

Texas A&M football is sure to still make a big splash for the 2018 edition of National Signing Day. The first ever Early Signing Day muddied the overall significance of National Signing Day, but it still matters to every college football program. That’s especially true of a program like Texas A&M that is looking to build up a recruiting class under a new head coach.

Jimbo Fisher did a great job recruiting while with the Florida State Seminoles. Texas A&M lost some recruits after the departure of Kevin Sumlin. But, Fisher is a more polarizing figure as a head coach than Sumlin, and that will start to have an effect on the recruiting trail soon.

At this moment, Fisher has 14 recruits (10 signees) in the 2018 class for the Aggies. That positions them as the No. 35 ranked class in the nation, and 10th in the SEC. However, Texas A&M is accustomed to finishing in the top 25 on a regular basis in the recruiting cycle.

Last year, Texas A&M locked up 28 enrollees, setting them with the No. 13 class in the nation, and No. 6 in the SEC. The SEC is shark filled water in terms of recruiting each year. This year is no different as even the College Football Playoff National Championship featured two teams from that conference.

Of the 14 recruits in Texas A&M’s class so far, six are four-star commits. Locking up just one five-star recruit would skyrocket the stock of the Aggies 2018 class.

Here’s five commits for the Texas A&M Aggies that will make an instant impact in 2018.
