As Texas A&M starts to build their offense around a starting quarterback that is ultimately going to be a sophomore in 2018, they need to piece together the offensive line too. All five starters could return along the offensive line next year.

But, if the Aggies need to do some shuffling along the line, or they run into injuries with the starters, the thinnest part is at the tackle position. Right tackle Christian Daimler runs out of eligibility and the other backup offensive tackle is an unproven rising sophomore in Dan Moore Jr.

While Moore Jr. did not get much playing time, obviously neither has any incoming freshman. However, four-star Cypress, TX, product Colten Blanton can fill that uncertainty in the offensive line depth at the tackle spot.

As one of two early enrollees at Texas A&M, Blanton gets the early reps in Spring Practice that’ll help jump-start his development. Winning a backup jobs to get some playing time during his freshman campaign would be a huge step for Blanton.
