Hot on the trail of a handful of 2018 recruits, Arkansas football is ready for a big run through the final days before National Signing Day itself.

Arkansas football is trying to recover from a disappointing four-win campaign in 2017. The first step in that recovery process is bringing in a solid recruiting class for the 2018 cycle. Former SMU Mustangs head coach Chad Morris is the man charged with leading the turnaround.

The Razorbacks put together the No. 57 ranked class in the nation, at this moment, which also ranks as the 12th best in the SEC. Arkansas has 14 commits in the class, including two four-star recruits. Of those 14 commits in the class, three are early enrollees and five are early signees. The other six commits have not officially signed yet.

With the 2018 edition of National Signing Day coming up on Feb. 7, Arkansas’ time is running out to add to this class. Even with the Early Signing Period wiping out a good portion of the significance of National Signing Day, there’s still some big fish left for the Hogs to snag.

The goal is to add some pieces to a defense that can rebuild after a rough 2017 campaign for that side of the ball. Also, the offense needs to add some players that fit more into the up-tempo pace of Morris’ offense, compared to that of Bret Bielema.

Four-star linebacker Bumper Pool is the top ranked player in this class. And, four-star pro-style quarterback Connor Noland is the other highly-touted commit for the Hogs. Adding a few more four-star recruits, and possibly a five-star, would cause Arkansas’ class ranking to rise significantly nationwide and in the SEC.

Here’s five biggest remaining targets for the Arkansas Razorbacks in the 2018 class.
