Tank Jenkins is one of the remaining uncommitted offensive linemen in the 2018 class and his commitment is going to be closely monitored on National Signing Day. He’s expected to make his announcement on Feb. 7 and the Bruins are in the running, but probably close to the back of the pack.

If Chip Kelly and UCLA are able to land Jenkins somehow, that would be some type of miracle haul. After his recent Oklahoma visit, the Sooners look to be the clear leaders while teams like Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Louisville are also in the mix.

It’s interesting to see that Alabama didn’t make a serious run at Jenkins even though he is from the state. When you’re Nick Saban, though, you have a wealth of four and five-star prospects at your disposal.

Jenkins, also a four-star, is ranked the No. 221 overall recruit in the class and is the ninth-best offensive guard in the class, per 247Sports. He also possesses the versatility to play some tackle, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing in at a tank-like 325 pounds.
