Now we’re getting into the recruits that have an even better chance of choosing the Bruins. Although I don’t believe Maurice Washington will end up at UCLA either, there’s a chance he could see more playing time with the Bruins than with the other top teams on his list.

Washington is currently considering Nebraska, Arizona State, Clemson, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Washington State. He’s a strong, shifty running back who has excelled at the high school level and his film stands out as a top-tier ball-carrier.

There’s a reason there are about a dozen schools hoping to land him on National Signing Day. He’s recently visited Nebraska and Arizona State and those two look like the leaders to land him. Chip Kelly may not be in close enough contact with him to land him, though.

The real question is: will the Bruins run more under Kelly than they did under Jim Mora?

The answer is probably, but Washington may see a bigger role with the Cornhuskers. He’s ranked the No. 207 overall recruit and 10th-best running back in the class, according to 247Sports.
