The most likely commitment on National Signing Day has to be that of four-star offense tackle Jarrett Patterson from Mission Viejo, Calif. He recently trimmed his list to Notre Dame and UCLA after visiting the Bruins and that could very well men Chip Kelly took the lead in his recruitment.

Talk about the ability to close, just read this tweet from a Michigan writer about the recruitment of Patterson.

Michigan and Notre Dame were the leaders in his recruitment as recently as a week ago, but a visit to UCLA changed things as he dropped the Wolverines completely. That’s a big win already for Kelly to beat out a coach like Jim Harbaugh for a top offensive lineman in the class.

Now he just has to hope that he did enough during Patterson’s visit to keep him close to home instead of watching him pick Notre Dame.

The Bruins are the presumed leaders with Notre Dame in second. He’s listed as the No. 214 overall recruit in the class and the 17th-best offensive tackle, per 247Sports. This would be a nice way to end the class for UCLA.
