Alabama Football: Top 5 remaining targets for 2018 National Signing Day

2018 National Signing Day is nearing, who are the top five remaining recruiting targets for Alabama football and Nick Saban?

Alabama has brought home the nation’s top ranked recruiting class seven years running. If they’re going to extend their recruiting dominance to eight years in a row they’ll need a great showing on National Signing Day. Entering the final days of the 2018 recruiting cycle the Tide have the No. 6 class, trailing Ohio State and Georgia who rank first and second by the slimmest of margins.

It’s going to take some big wins on the recruiting front to get back to No. 1, but is anyone honestly going to count out Nick Saban? The Tide only have one 5-star committed, defensive end Eyadi Anoma, but they have 14 additional 4-star prospects committed as well.

With 18 current commitments, there’s room in Tuscaloosa to add several top-level players. As is common with Alabama, their remaining targets are all the biggest names still on the board. They’re going to land a couple more big fish, and even if they don’t finish as the top class, the Crimson Tide are going to have plenty of elite players in their 2018 haul.
