With 2018 National Signing Day approaching, who are five recruiting targets to watch for with Oregon football and Mario Cristobal?

The Oregon Ducks football program has entered uncharted waters for them (all pun intended) with having to replace a football coach yet again after the abrupt departure of Willie Taggart.

Coach Taggart left after twelve months to take over the Florida State Seminoles program and the Ducks have hired from within promoting Mario Cristobal to head football coach.

Coach Cristobal, known for being a national recruiter while at Alabama, had to secure the Ducks’ recruiting class for 2018. Taggart took the Florida recruits with him to Tallahassee and the Ducks class is now filled with California, Oregon and Arizona players.

The Ducks have remained elite in the skill position areas but need to bolster their depth and their offensive and defensive lines. Oregon has been known as a finesse team under Mark Helfrich but Taggart and now Cristobal with defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt will look to play a much tougher brand of football.

Here are five recruiting targets the Ducks are looking to lock up on Feb. 7 for the 2018 National Signing Day
