Baylor Football: Top 5 remaining 2018 National Signing Day targets

Every school can always add versatile players, that can fill a wide range of needs, to the mix. Three-star athlete, and Tampa native Jermaine Eskridge fits that mold. Eskridge does not have the hype to match up with what he could actually do for Baylor in the coming years.

As a prospect that can play at both wide receiver and defensive back, Rhule has some wiggle room to figure out what would be the best spot for Eskridge. But, adding a player that’s 6-foot-3 and polished to the roster is never a bad thing.

This recruiting class for Baylor is chalked full of wide receivers, but cornerbacks are not really present anywhere. The Bears do have a few athletes committed that could fill into that spot in their freshman year, but none quite as natural as Eskridge.

There’s three schools that are the top dogs in the pursuit of Eskridge. Those three programs are the Oregon Ducks, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Kentucky Wildcats. Baylor is just one of 50 teams that offered Eskridge, but a last minute push could add the Bears to the mix.
