Auburn Football: Top 5 remaining targets for 2018 National Signing Day
With 2018 National Signing Day approaching, who are the top five remaining recruiting targets for Auburn football and Gus Malzahn?
The Auburn Tigers are looking to put the finishing touches on an already promising 2018 recruiting class. Head coach Gus Malzahn secured 15 signees during the Early Signing Period and more than half of those (eight) are already on campus.
With National Signing Day finally here the Tigers will get their last additions pinned down. As is customary of the nation’s elite programs, Auburn is in the mix for several big recruits and could end the 2018 class with a bang.
Who are Auburn’s top five remaining 2018 recruiting targets for National Signing Day?
Malik Langham is the No. 6 prospect in the state of Alabama. Naturally that makes his a prime target for the Alabama Crimson Tide, which he publicly named the leaders of his recruitment in mid January. However, Langham gave his final official visit to the Tigers. He was on campus on Feb. 2, the weekend before National Signing Day which is a positive sign for Auburn.
The burly 269 pound defensive end stands 6-foot-5.5-inches tall. Give him a few months in the weight room and he’ll add even more muscle to his impressive frame. Which weight room that will be in remains to be seen.
While the Tide were out in front, his list of potential suitors also includes SEC East-foe Florida. The Gators beat both the Tigers and the Tide to the punch, offering Langham in mid-December. This going to be a touch get for the Tigers who could use some more bodies to build depth on their front seven.
