Louisville Football: Top 5 remaining targets for 2018 National Signing Day
With 2018 National Signing Day approaching, who are the top five remaining recruiting targets for Louisville football and Bobby Petrino?
Bobby Petrino is one of those coaches who doesn’t quite get the credit he deserves. Although he hasn’t reached the 10-win mark since his stint with Arkansas, he has turned the Louisville Cardinals back into ACC contenders.
Sure, he’s had the help of Heisman-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson, but his recruiting shouldn’t be overlooked. He has a chance to improve his 2018 class even more on Wednesday.
Who are Louisville’s top five remaining 2018 recruiting targets for National Signing Day?
Believe it or not, Louisville has just one offensive lineman committed in its 2018 class, making Will Canty that much more valuable of a recruit.
You can never have too much depth on the offensive line and Bobby Petrino is hoping for a miracle on National Signing Day. Canty is much more likely to commit to Nebraska as head coach Scott Frost has been recruiting him ever since he was with UCF.
Canty stands 6-foot-6 and weighs in at 290 pounds, making him an imposing force at the offensive tackle position. He’s not the quickest lineman, but that’s something that can be worked on at the next level.
The three-star from Florida is ranked as the No. 1,148 overall prospect and 106th-best offensive tackle, according to 247Sports.
