A little over a year ago, Leonard Taylor looked to be one of Michigan’s premier recruits. He was committed to the Wolverines, but re-opened his recruitment and it looked like either Notre Dame or Ohio State would be his college choice.

Why? He visited Notre Dame a couple months before de-committing from Michigan and then took a trip to South Bend less than a month after. Then he visited Ohio State which looked like the favorite from the beginning because of hometown favoritism, but that doesn’t look like the case anymore.

The Springfield, Ohio, native could still remain close to home, but this time with Cincinnati, which is the favorite to land him on signing day. Kentucky and Louisville are also vying for his services, but it would take a lot of prying for that to happen.

Taylor visited Louisville on Jan. 12 but the trend has been all Cincinnati since his visit there on Jan. 19. He is the No. 299 overall recruit and 16th-best tight end in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports.
