Look at that, we have another cornerback from Washington D.C. on our hands. This time, it’s three-star DJ Brown who played his high school ball at St. John’s College. He looks to be a more plausible option for the Fighting Irish who have seemingly fallen behind in the running for Noah Boykin to the Gators.

Brown, on the other hand, looks like a strong Notre Dame lean and he’s every bit as impressive an athlete as Boykin. He’s a little shorter at 6-foot-1, but has more muscle at 185 pounds. His reaction time is impressive and he as the ability to change directions on the snap of a finger.

Just like Boykin, Brown was committed recently before an official visit. He was a Virginia pledge before taking a visit to Notre Dame on Jan. 30 and he de-committed from the Cavaliers’ 2018 class just two days later. The writing seems to be on the wall here.

Brown is listed as the No. 486 overall player and 49th-best cornerback in the 2018 class, per 247Sports. He would be a nice final addition to the Irish’s defensive backfield.
