Notre Dame looks to be in good position with a speedy slot receiver in Lawrence Keys III from New Orleans, La. His official visit to South Bend back on Jan. 19 may have sealed the deal and he’s been trending to Notre Dame ever since.

Although he’s from Louisiana, the LSU Tigers have conceded defeat, it seems. However, Texas and SMU have put forth solid efforts in trying to land him. He’s visited both SMU and Texas over the past two weeks and they could both be selling him on early playing time. Can the Irish offer the same?

The Fighting Irish only have two true receivers committed in the 2018 class and neither of them are slot-type wide outs like Keys III. That will definitely help the four-star make his decision.

It’d be surprising to see Keys III end up anywhere else, so I’m going to stick with Notre Dame on this one. He’s listed as the No. 283 recruit in the class and the 46th-best wide receiver, per 247Sports. He’d be a nice addition to this strong class.

Pick: Notre Dame
