Texas Football: Top 5 remaining targets for 2018 National Signing Day
A hidden gem of the 2018 recruiting class, Moro Ojomo was a relative unknown as recently as December. The 6-foot-3, 280 pound defensive tackle from Katy, Texas has seen his offer list explode in the final month. He’s picked up 11 of his 25 offers since December 1, the most recent coming from Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide on Jan. 30.
If Saban is interested, even if it’s at the final hour, that says something about the quality of Ojomo. He’s been a priority for the Longhorns since they offered him two weeks before the Early Signing Period in December. Texas has weathered late pushes from schools around the nation, but they’re still out in front thus far.
Ojomo was in Austin for an official visit the week before National Signing Day and spent his final pre-NSD visit in Eugene visiting the Oregon Ducks. This looks to be Texas’ recruit to lose, and given the relatively limited amount of space left in the Longhorns’ class they’ll be putting forth the full-court press to ensure they get Ojomo to sign on the dotted line on Wednesday.
