Jumping the Clemson Tigers in the recruiting rankings through 247Sports would only take a few big commits for Notre Dame football on National Signing Day.

Notre Dame football has another solid recruiting class ready to go for 2018. The incoming freshmen signal a bright future for the program. However, head coach Brian Kelly is not done yet, adding to a potential top eight class in the nation.

With National Signing Day upon us for Feb. 7, the Irish are ready finish strong on the recruiting trail. Notre Dame has high expectations for the 2018 campaign as is, let alone if they bring in one of the best classes of any team in the country. There’s a ton of players who could get a chance to make an impact for Notre Dame in the upcoming season.

As of the end of the day on Feb. 6, the Irish have 22 commits in the class. Seven of those recruits enrolled early, 14 signed their Letter of Intent, and one is still listed as a hard commit. Three-star offensive tackle Luke Jones is that hard commit that the Irish need to sign on NSD.

Notre Dame has also seen four prospects decommit in this class, with the first one coming in May 2017. That number doesn’t seem likely to grow with only one player unsigned so far. Moreover, Kelly has some momentum built up in the program right now.

The top ranked recruit in the 2018 Notre Dame class is four-star cornerback Houston Griffith. In total, the Irish have 11 four-star prospects hauled in for what could be one of the program’s best classes in the past decade.

Here’s the three most important remaining targets for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on National Signing Day 2018.
