Landing those one or two final commits that can cap off a solid 2018 class can give Texas A&M football the perfect 2018 National Signing Day.
Texas A&M football has their sights set on rounding out the 2018 recruiting class in great fashion, and using that to build momentum for the 2019 group. First-year Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher gets his first full class in 2019, but that hire should be enough to nab a few solid commits before it’s all said and done.
With 15 commits already associated with Texas A&M’s incoming freshmen class, there’s some potential to get a few more. National Signing Day is sure to feature the Aggies in the headlines for the bulk of the festivities. They’re a program that could use a big day on the recruiting trail.
Of the 15 total commits for the Aggies, two enrolled early, eight signed their Letter of Intent, and five are listed as hard commits. The nabbing of four-star safety, and former Texas A&M decommit, Leon O’Neal Jr., a homegrown product from Cypress High School, took care of a big target for Signing Day.
Moreover, Texas A&M has seven four-star prospects committed, which is nearly half the class. The Aggies are showing that they’re prioritizing quality over quantity in this recruiting cycle. That’s a good way to start for the first regular season under Fisher, in College Station.
With those 15 commits, including seven four-stars, Texas A&Ms rings in at the No. 23 ranked class in the nation, and eighth best in the SEC. They do have the opportunity to add to that on NSD as well.
Here’s thee storylines to follow for the Texas A&M Aggies on National Signing Day 2018.
