Possibly no program had more positive movement in the recruiting rankings on 2018 National Signing Day than Texas A&M football.

Texas A&M football hit the recruiting trail for a huge 2018 National Signing Day that saw them finish with a top 20 class in the nation. It normally takes a full year at the helm for a head coach to really get some momentum going in the recruiting department, but Jimbo Fisher proved us all wrong.

After a nice NSD haul for the Aggies, Fisher posted the No. 17 recruiting class in the nation, and sixth best in the SEC, according to 247Sports composite rankings. This recruiting class featured 13 four-star signees/enrollees, and 23 commitments overall.

Two of the commits in this cycle enrolled early in school to get a leg up on the rest of the class. Those two incoming freshmen are three-star tight end Jace Sternberger, and four-star offensive tackle Colten Blanton. The other 21 commits will be entering College Station in the Fall.

Overall, the top rated commit in this Texas A&M class is four-star safety Leon O’Neal Jr. The process of getting O’Neal Jr. to sign with the Aggies was a tough one. He ended up decommitting after Kevin Sumlin was let go and signed again with Texas A&M on NSD.

Four-star wide receiver Jalen Preston is not far behind O’Neal Jr. in the recruiting player rankings. The losses of Aggies stars like wide receiver Christian Kirk and safety Armani Watts can now be plugged by talented incoming freshmen.

Considering the Aggies started out the day on NSD with a recruiting class ranked outside the top 30 in the nation, the haul on the day itself is a huge feat.

Here are three NSD signees that can breakout for the Texas A&M Aggies in 2018.
