The son of longtime Iowa strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle kicks off the list as he comes into the program as a three-star outside linebacker. He helped lead Iowa City West to the Iowa Class 4A Championship game his senior year. Doyle recorded 49.5 tackles his senior season along with nine tackles-for-loss and two sacks.

Doyle has a good frame that his dad and Kirk Ferentz can build on, coming into his freshman season at 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds. He has a nose for the football and is able to make that quick break for the ball that all college coaches love to see. He stays true to his reads and does an exceptional job of scraping down the line of scrimmage and filling the hole.

Putting some weight on Doyle might make him a viable option at outside linebacker in a couple of seasons. One thing for sure its this kid will be a hard-worker.
