After the 2018 National Signing Day, college football takes a look at transfers, Johnny Manziel and 2018. Here are five topics from the week after NSD.

With the 2018 College Football National Signing Day behind us we can focus on the future, and a tinge of the past. 2017 was one of the better college football seasons in recent memory filled with upsets and big time performances. The upsets were prevalent all over college football’s landscape from Pullman to Columbus and Pittsburgh- no one was safe in 2017.

Personality played a huge role with Baker Mayfield‘s entire Heisman Trophy winning season, Mike Leach being Mike Leach, and Nick Saban being happy.

Heading into 2018, Urban Meyer’s staff moves have created one of the most star-studded coaching offices since the Syracuse staff under the late Dick MacPherson or Jimmy Johnson‘s at Miami in the 80’s. Johnny Football makes a re-appearance in the Spring League as the former Heisman Trophy winner tries to repair his life, and Bill Connelly from Football Study Hall has released his 2018 pre-season S&P+ rankings.

It’s time for us to transfer (yes, that’s a pun) our attention to 2018 with Appalachian State already starting spring practices and we can do that with these five topics.
