If you’re looking for a hard-hitting, high-motored linebacker to add to Ohio State’s 2019 class, Cade Stover might be the top option. The Buckeyes landed a number of elite backers in their 2018 class, including Dallas Gang, Teradja Mitchell, K’Vaughan Pope and Javontae Jean-Baptiste, but depth is never a bad thing.

Stover may not see the field right away if he were to commit to Ohio State, but he’d definitely be a young player on the fringe of playing time. He looks and plays like a prototypical college linebacker and Urban Meyer is extremely high on this kid.

There’s no way the Buckeyes let Stover leave the state of Ohio in 2019. He’s ranked the No. 58 overall prospect, fifth-best outside linebacker and second-best recruit from the state of Ohio. He stands tall at 6-foot-4 and weighs in at 225 pounds. He’s a monster of a linebacker.

Stover plays an aggressive game and he holds 20 offers, including an important one from the Buckeyes — his current favorite. Notre Dame, Penn State and Wisconsin are in on the top linebacker as well.
