This senior offensive guard entered his time in Arkansas as a defensive tackle. Hjalte Froholdt has certainly come a long way from that point in his football career. His choice to stay for his senior season is a big plus for new head coach Chad Morris. He is physical, strong and efficient on the offensive line. That is something that Morris, his offensive staff and quarterback Cole Kelley will be extremely appreciative of in 2018.

Froholdt is a leader. He is a cornerstone of what used to be a dominant offensive line. The new coaching staff will look to let that reemerge as a part of Arkansas football. Froholdt will be a big part of that reemergence of dominance and strength.

The leader of the team, Frank Ragnow, has left for the NFL Draft. As a result, this is now Froholdt’s line to lead. It will surely be full of young guns and because of that having an upperclassmen leader in the form of an offensive guard is one of the best ways to get those kids up to speed.

As I said before, the Razorbacks haven’t been an SEC powerhouse in terms of football. However, the best way to change that is new personnel, a new coaching staff and a good group of leaders. Look for Froholdt to be a big part of that push in the 2018 season.
