After an extremely strong 2017 campaign, the Georgia Bulldogs signed the top ranked class of 2018. Who could play right away in 2018?

It is no secret that Kirby Smart and company have built a strong team down in Athens. As a result, the staff has been all the more successful on the recruiting trail. That is shown in their top-ranked 2018 class as well as their recent trip to the national championship.

The Bulldogs stood toe-to-toe with the Tide until the final minute, even after beginning to fall apart in the second half of the matchup. Just look at this tweet below, this team has quite a bit of talent coming their way in 2018.

Who could be considered instant impactors on a team that just went to the national title and returns plenty of talent? There are a few that, in my opinion, Bulldog fans may not yet realize how important they will be to the program as a whole, starting in 2018.

Let’s start with the kid who is always overlooked, the punter.

This is one of the most important, yet under appreciated positions in college football. Jake Camarda was the No. 1 ranked punter in the nation and the No. 4 place kicker. As it stands right now, Rodrigo Blakenship is the kicker for this Bulldogs team. However, it is extremely important to keep a team locked and loaded at this position.

Keep an eye on Camarda during his career in Athens. He has the ability to end up as a big time player for Georgia, based on his leg alone. It may be a year or two before he is the absolute starter, but no matter what he’s going to be special in red and black.
