Since USC had one of the best recruiting classes in the nation, you’ve probably been waiting to hear about a five-star prospect who has the potential to start in 2018. Well, here he is. JT Daniels, a five-star quarterback from Santa Ana, Calif., is the highest-rated signee in the class, at least according to the 247Sports rankings.

In fact, he’s listed as the No. 6 overall prospect in 2018 as well as the second-best pro-style quarterback. While he doesn’t have the biggest frame, at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, he has time to grow into his body and add some muscle.

Just because Daniels isn’t the biggest quarterback doesn’t mean his arm isn’t strong. He has a rocket for an arm and his accuracy is impressive. He’s listed as the No. 2 quarterback in the country for a reason.

Replacing Sam Darnold isn’t going to be easy, but Daniels has the arm talent to do just that. He’s going to be an interesting player to watch this fall as the Trojans look for a replacement under center.

Will he be able to beat out Matt Fink who backed up Darnold in 2017?
