Yet another JUCO transfer makes the list. Three-star Gulf Coast C.C. defensive end Michael Boykin is one of eight early enrollees in the 2018 class and he could very well make a name for himself during the Cardinals’ spring game, and throughout the next couple of months.

More from Louisville Cardinals

Boykin is listed as the No. 25 prospect in the class and the second-best defensive end, according to 247Sports. He was originally signed with Louisville in the 2016 class before enrolling at Gulf Coast C.C. and now he’s on his way back to the Cardinals after taking care of some things.

The Carrollton, Ga., native is one of the more impressive JUCO defensive ends in the class and his size is what you’d consider ideal for the position. He’s polished his game a bit at the JUCO level and his 6-foot-6, 285-pound frame will cause serious problems for opposing linemen.

Boykin is quick off the snap and strong enough to overpower opposing linemen all the way to the quarterback. He will have an opportunity to vie for early playing time with James Hearns and Trevon Young graduating.
