1. Can Frost really come home?

In the prior slides I have talked a lot about the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Scott Frost’s return home to Lincoln, Nebraska. I have also talked a lot about fighting off the inherent hype of a homecoming and the Nebraska tradition, as well as Scott Frost’s familiarity with Lincoln, the Huskers and being a protegé of Tom Osborne. But can someone really come home? Is it ever the same? Will it ever really work out?

So many homecomings don’t work out. For every Pat Fitzgerald that is content with what Northwestern has to offer many other head coaching homecomings to their alma mater don’t work out on one side or another and lead to a break up that can hurt the relationship. Frost is going to have to battle the hype of his 13-0 season at Central Florida while balancing the expectations that are instilled in the Husker fanbase.

Coach Frost will have a tough time rebuilding Nebraska and meeting up to the fans’ hopes but if anyone has proven they can do it it’s him. Frost has already picked up the Huskers’ recruiting class and will challenge the slow-paced Big Ten forcing it to get with the times and finally upset the SEC and Clemson.
