UCLA Football: Josh Rosen has making of NFL draft’s best quarterback
Time is winding down before football fans across the country get to see where UCLA football’s Josh Rosen falls in the 2018 NFL Draft.
UCLA football churned out a top prospect for the 2018 NFL Draft, thanks to the raw talent of star quarterback Josh Rosen. He’ll be one of the first players selected in the upcoming draft, taking place starting on April 27. It’s up to either the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants (or possibly Buffalo Bills), or the New York Jets to nab Rosen.
Few rumors have surfaced about the Browns’ potential interest in Rosen. There’s much more talk surrounding Wyoming Cowboys quarterback Josh Allen and USC Trojans quarterback Sam Darnold going to the Browns with the first overall pick. Rosen likely falls in the second or third pick overall, from what information has surfaced recently.
Moreover, other news that has kept Rosen in the headlines of late is his spat with former UCLA head football coach Jim Mora. A few comments about Darnold being the better top draft choice than Rosen created a stir among fans and the media, and for good reason. Mora has even gone to the extent of saying that Rosen needs to be challenged more mentally.
Whether fans actually feel like Mora is overstepping his bounds, especially since he’s not even UCLA’s coach anymore, is beside the point here. The point is that Rosen has the pure arm talent, and proven body of work carrying an offense squarely on his shoulders in college, that puts him above the rest of the quarterback class.

Labeling a potential draft pick as “safe” never really means anything when it comes down to it. Some people label Rosen as the safest pick between him Darnold, and Allen. However, the only thing that seems to be true about that statement is that Rosen possibly has the highest floor of the three.
