When Arkansas football takes to the field to start the 2018 season, they’ll be expected to get back into the realm of bowl eligibility at the very least.

Arkansas football has a large task in front of them to put together a turnaround from a rough 2017 campaign, starting in spring practice. New head coach Chad Morris has the task of sparking this turnaround, after some solid work with the SMU Mustangs for the past few years.

After a disappointing four win result in 2017, the Hogs enter 2018 in the thick of a tough SEC West, including the SEC West regular season Champion Auburn Tigers and reigning National Champions Alabama Crimson Tide. If the Hogs are not careful, they could find themselves in the back of the division standings once again.

The first recruiting class under Morris ranked as the worst in the SEC, and nearly in the bottom of the rankings around the entire nation. Morris did manage to bring in talented prospects like four-star pro-style Connor Noland and four-star linebacker Bumper Pool.

Both sides of the ball need some form of progress in spring. The Red-White Spring Game for the Hogs takes place at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on April 7. That game will be one of the more telling Spring Games as to the progress of programs around the SEC.

The Arkansas fan base has higher expectations than what they saw on the field last year. It’s up to the momentum and progress seen during the course of the spring to build something special for the slate that kicks off in the fall.

Here’s a look at the three biggest questions the Arkansas Razorbacks football program must answer in spring practice in 2018.
