Auburn Football: 5 biggest questions facing the Tigers in spring 2018
1. Is Jarrett Stidham a true Heisman contender?
With all this talk about quarterbacks, such as Joey Gatewood and Malik Willis, the No. 1 guy is obviously Jarrett Stidham. There’s no question that he’s one of the best gunslingers in all of college football and that will continue during the 2018 season as long as he can avoid a slow start to the season like he had in 2017.
It took Stidham a couple of games to get used to his new offense and the weapons around him, but once he got comfortable, he was able to be the guy everyone expected when he transferred over from Baylor.
In the third game of the year, he completed 87 percent of his passes for 364 yards. He continued that success and completed over 65 percent of his passes 10 more times throughout the season. He will be looked at as a leader on this team and will need to be more of a volume passer if Auburn is going to take that next step.

Will he stand out as a Heisman contender? It depends on whether or not he can consistently break the 300-yard mark as he did it just two times in 2017. We will find out just how much the coaching staff will let him air it out this spring.
