Ole Miss Football: 5 biggest questions facing the Rebels in spring 2018
4. Do the Rebels have the best receivers in the SEC?
This might not even be a question at this point, but will Ole Miss prove to have the SEC’s best wide receivers this spring?
A.J. Brown proved to be one of the better wide outs in college football during his sophomore campaign, catching 75 passes for 1,252 yards and 11 touchdowns. He stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 225 pounds and is a tough guy to cover with his mixture of strength and speed.
Soon-to-be senior DeMarkus Lodge was second on the team with 698 yards and seven touchdowns on 41 receptions. He’s slightly leaner at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds but has the athleticism to cause problems for defenders as well.
DeKaylin Metcalf is entering his junior season and he’s coming off a strong 39-catch, 646-yard season with seven touchdown receptions. He will be a strong 2-3 option who could grow into an even bigger role.
However, will the Rebels have the best receiving corps in the conference despite transfers from Van Jefferson and Tre Nixon.
