3. Will the secondary reload yet again?

Ohio State is losing more key pieces in its defensive backfield in Denzel Ward and Damon Webb, but will the Buckeyes be able to reload yet again or will it be a rebuilding phase?

To start the 2017 season, no one knew just what to expect from Ohio State’s defensive backfield after losing some key contributors from the 2016 squad. The Buckeyes ended up reloading with some first-round potential pieces, but it wasn’t as lockdown as it had been in the previous seasons. In fact, the Buckeyes’ secondary allowed nearly 200 yards passing per game as opposed to 172 in 2016.

Will there be guys ready to step up and replace Ward and Webb or will this be a repeat of last season which saw the secondary take a minor step back?

Jordan Fuller, Isaiah Pryor, Jeffrey Okudah, Kendall Sheffield, Damon Arnette, Tyreke Johnson and Sevyn Banks are all names to keep an eye on this spring as each could become a valuable asset to a reloading in 2018.

The talent is there, but will it come together to get back to its dominance of years past?
