2. Is Najee Harris ready for a breakout season?

Is there a running back problem at Alabama? If you call having too many running backs a problem, then yes. Although Bo Scarbrough decided to forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft after never really reaching his potential, Damien Harris returns as the presumed starter.

Harris finished the 2017 season with 1,000 yards on the dot, averaging 7.4 yards per carry and crossing the goal-line 11 times. He could be one of the top Heisman candidates in college football heading into the 2018 season as a senior, but he’s going to have to hold off sophomore sensation Najee Harris who could earn starting touches.

The sophomore carried the ball just 61 times for 370 yards and three touchdowns. He did average 6.1 yards per carry and he lived up to the expectations, based on the number of touches, that he had heading into his freshman season as a five-star recruit.

Nick Saban has a decision to make based on the amount of carries to shovel out to both backs. Joshua Jacobs could earn a solid number of carries as well, but he’s out with an injury this spring.

Is Najee ready for his breakout season, though?
