Alabama Football: 3 best destinations if Jalen Hurts decides to transfer
3. Florida State
The future is bright for the Florida State Seminoles at this moment. Outside of all the controversy surrounding the legal troubles of quarterback Deondre Francois, there’s a lot for FSU fans to be excited about. Even if Francois is not the answer for the Noles this season, they can turn to a talented rising sophomore in James Blackman.
Former Oregon Ducks and South Florida Bulls head coach Willie Taggart took over in Tallahassee with one goal in mind, to get Florida State back to the point of national contention. They have the type of roster that could contend for an ACC Championship in 2018.
However, all this should appeal to Hurts because FSU has the formula for sustained success in place for the next few years. Taggart can also help dual-threat quarterbacks excel in his offensive scheme, as he showed for a very brief period of time with Quinton Flowers (at USF) and Justin Herbert (at Oregon).
Hurts would also have a plethora of weapons around him in the FSU offense. The Noles have players like emerging star running back Cam Akers littered all over the offensive depth chart. Taggart did a great job recruiting for the 2018 class, too. Tallahassee is a great potential destination for Hurts.
