87. . WR. Round 1, No. 26 overall. Christian Kirk. 1. player

If anyone is going to extend Texas A&M’s streak of first rounders it will be this guy, Christian Kirk. He made an instant impact at Texas A&M, racking up 106 yards and two touchdowns in his first career game against Arizona State in 2015. Since then, he really hasn’t looked back and is now looking to take his talents to the next level.

Where he will go is currently a big question, though many are sure it will be in the first round. I’ve got him going to the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers’ receiving corps is not as strong as it could be, especially with a quarterback like Cam Newton slinging it behind the line of scrimmage.

Kirk fits in as a slot receiver and a punt return man in Carolina and in the NFL as a whole. He had a school record six return touchdowns at Texas A&M. He may be no Mike Evans or Josh Reynolds in terms of top players in Aggie history, but he sure is a special one.

Kirk hasn’t been in a steady quarterback situation during his time at Texas A&M. He has played with Kyle Allen, Kyler Murray, Trevor Knight, Nick Starkel and Kellen Mond in his three years in Maroon and White. Him settling down and learning behind a player like Newton who is established in Carolina is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Guys like Devin Funchess and Curtis Samuel can help the rookie learn the ropes as he slides into the slot position for the Panthers.
