Take advantage of West Virginia’s talent surplus

On one hand, all the weapons for the Mountaineers at the skill positions can take away from Sills V’s workload in 2018. On the other, he could end up finding more open room than he had in 2017. Either one could end up happening in the upcoming season.

Things are going to change for Sills V in 2018. While a lot of team didn’t pay much attention to him early in the 2017 slate, he’s definitely a known target now. Sills V is officially a weapon that will keep defensive coordinators up at night, and will have to prepare extra for this year.

This is where he needs to play off the bulk of skilled wide receivers alongside him. Jennings and Simms do have vastly different value propositions than what Sills V brings to the table. He can also use that perspective to develop off their strengths where he might be weaker.

The running game is also an important aspect to focus on here. McKoy was a steady force for the West Virginia ground attack in the past two years, even with Justin Crawford hogging most of the spotlight. The ground game can also keep the offense balanced and open up the field for Sills V.
